Lake Buena Vista, FL The AAU Wrestling Committee is proud to present Tyler Goodwin with the 2012 Joel Ferrell Outstanding Performance Memorial Award at the 2012 AAU Junior Olympic Games.

This award is named after former AAU President and Vice President of the US Olympic Committee, Joel Ferrell. Ferrell was chair of the AAU Junior Olympic Program for many years and was very instrumental in the growth of these Games. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding accomplishments and sportsmanship of an athlete representing each official sport at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Goodwin participates with the Maryland Red club from the Potomac Valley AAU District and attends Arundel High School.  His record was 18 matches undefeated and he only had one point scored on him throughout the entire tournament.  Goodwin is also the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Games gold medalist.  In addition to these accomplishments, he took first place at the Pan American games, is a two-time state champion, and a five-time All-American.

The AAU Wrestling Committee would like to congratulate Tyler and wish him  luck in his future endeavors.
